Dr M. M. Mangal is a well recognized surgeon with a clinical practice of 45 years. As a surgeon he has demonstrated cutting-edge skills in his practice and has been an excellent teacher and guide for his students. He has a paramount expertise in his field and believes that a good surgeon is not only a skilled doctor but one who embodies empathy, understands the fears and concerns of his patients offering emotional support and reassurance.

As a Dean he was dedicated in fostering an environment that promoted academic rigor, excellence based teaching by his entire faculty with a vision for inculcating ethical practice and compassionate patient care in all students of the college. He acted as a leader to encourage teamwork, transparency and continuous professional development in the institution. He promotes his core values of excellence, integrity and a selfless commitment towards patient care and community health development.

Vision as a President (Vice Chancellor)

He envisions Pacific Medical University as a beacon of excellence in medical education, patient care and research. He aims to achieve all this on the core foundation pillar of academic excellence where students will be trained to become competent Indian medical graduates. Regular update of the curriculum by incorporating latest medical knowledge, technology and practices involving critical analysis, problem –based learning, supporting faculty development by providing research opportunities , developing outreach programs to implement and enhance medical education. He believes in the encouragement of students and faculty to engage in community services and development of global health programs to prepare our students to address health disparities world-wide.
